Pre S: Its better to ignore the links when you read this for the first time. You can follow then later.

It has been close to two weeks, since I have quit my job. I have been busy preparing for a new one. This is the mundane part of it.

Otherwise, I am experiencing a subtle feeling of 'solitude'. The immediate pleasures(relaxations?) were easy to find.

  • I do not need to commute 20km in the morning and teach kids who are not interested in learning. Most of them come to college because its a 'social construct', tomorrow their life depends on it or so it is told.
  • I do not need to rush back home, hurry up for a walk or exercise, make time for cleaning up, spend time with spouse etc

I have become more mindful, less stressed, healthier, fitter. I am loving the study, yoga and pleasant long walks with my spouse. I am happy. (No facebook, whatsapp you see)

We are or are being conditioned to think that we need to 'work'. For most, this is not an 'enjoyable work'. Its survival. We are just being cogs in the wheel of unnecessary economy. We are ruining our health, peace of mind and our very meaning of existence. Many do not realize, many are in denial.

Whats happening to our ecology, our economy, our livelihoods … the omnipresent blindspot.

I sit still and write.
